Peter Smith is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blockchain, a financial technology and data company that has empowered millions of users across the globe to store and transact digital value quickly and without costly intermediaries. Richie Lai is Co-Founder, CIO of Bittrex. He was a security engineering specializing in cyber crimes and areas around malware, botnets, and web exploits. He spent 12 years at Microsoft focusing on security where he helped shape many aspects of the program. His next stop was Qualys, where for a year he helped launch their Malware Detection Service. Today he works at Amazon securing their products, network and infrastructure.

In his spare time, he enjoys photography, poker, and spending time with his wife.

Lawrence is working at Blockstream as Chief Architect. Previously, he was CEO and founder of GreenAddress (https://greenaddress.it), a prime, Bitcoin services company that offers the industry's first and most advanced multi-signature Bitcoin wallet.

Before getting involved with Bitcoin and Blockchain Lawrence was a technology Vice President at OTC financial services leader Markitserv where he led various products and technology teams and directed other strategic initiatives for the company.

I am a cryptographic researcher at NuCypher. My research is oriented towards cryptographic solutions for privacy and security in untrusted environments; in particular, with the use of proxy re-encryption. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at NICS Lab (Universidad de Málaga, Spain).

I’ve done work for a few well known companies, including Facebook, Uber, and Lonely Planet, generally building prototypes, official reference implementations, and establishing best practices for new API products. I’ve worked both as a solo developer, and built/lead teams for such projects.
