Katherine Wu is Venture Partner at Archetype. Formerly, Principal at Notation Capital. I was Business Development and Community Management for Messari, a NYC-based crypto startup aimed at promoting transparency and smarter decision-making in the token ecosystem through information gathering. Prior to Messari, I've done stints at the Bank of China, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bank of America, Oak Hill Advisors, and the U.S. State Department. I hold a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in International Relations (combo of economics + history + political science + language) from Johns Hopkins University. 

I grew up moving between California, mainland China (Kunming, Yunnan Province), and Hong Kong. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

We bring over 20 years of fintech founder experience, 7+ years of experience working on fintech policy and regulation in 40+ countries with financial regulators, government ministries, multi-lateral organizations and a track record of successful investments (and exits) in fintech.

I co-founded Crowdfund Capital Advisors (CCA). Named 2017's Crowdfunding Person of the Year. CCA works with The World Bank, professional investors, governments, development organizations, professional services firms and entrepreneurs globally to create policy and business strategies to fully leverage the power of crowdfund investing. CCA is a Key Parter of the U.S. State Department's Global Entrepreneurship Program that works to further diplomacy and stability through building effective entrepreneurial and early-stage funding ecosystems.

I am one of the three people responsible for creating the CrowdFund Investment Framework used by the President in the Jobs Act, that helped change the laws making crowdfund investing legal in the US. As a founding member of Startup Exemption, I worked for 460 days from to change 78 year old securities laws. We were honored to be attend the Rose Garden Ceremony at the White House on April 5, 2012 to watch President Obama sign crowdfunding legislation.

I am an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UC Berkeley's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and co-founded the UC Berkeley Program for Innovation in Entrepreneurial and Social Finance to study crowdfunding globally.

I have co-founded the two leading global crowdfunding associations: the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) and the CrowdFunding Intermediary Regulatory Advocates(CFIRA).

My background prior to crowdfunding is in building and leading SAAS companies. I work with founders and leaders to create structure, strategy and execution to effectively grow companies. Most recently, I acted as a member of a 3 person executive leadership team and created structure, strategy and process that helped drive 1300% revenue growth and have scaled the size and capabilities of the organization during my engagement with them from 2008-2012. Inc Magazine ranked my client, Kinnser Software, among their list of the 500 fastest growing private companies.

Roy Learner is Principal at Framework Ventures. Formerly, associate at Wave Financial, that is passionate about crypto’s potential to transform global finance and has been involved in the space since 2016. Most recently, Roy led Market Development efforts at the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, helping educate large organizations on the impact of blockchain technology. Prior to the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, Roy worked at Optoro, a late-stage supply chain logistics start-up backed by Kleiner Perkins, UPS and Franklin Templeton. Alex Cheung is Investment Director & Founding Partner at Baboon.vc. Formerly, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Llama Brothers.

He first discovered and purchased Bitcoin in 2010, before proceeding to lose his wallet the next year. He fell down the crypto rabbit hole again in 2015 and joined the space full time in 2018. Prior to Baboon, Alex was at a single family office helping manage both traditional and crypto portfolios. Before that Alex helped co-found a crypto OTC desk, Llama Brothers, and acted as their CSO, while simultaneously managing a crypto book for a private investment company that seeded Llama Brothers.

Prior to diving head first into the crypto space, Alex spent the better half of the past decade in various traditional finance roles, ranging from sell-side equity research and broking to co-managing a multi-strategy hedge fund. Alex started his career in Singapore before moving to Hong Kong in 2015. He enjoys torturously staring at charts and occasionally lifting some very heavy weights.

Balaji S. Srinivasan is co-founder of Counsyl (acquired by Myriad), Earn.com (acquired by Coinbase), Teleport (acquired by Topia), and Coin Center. Formerly the CTO at Coinbase.

Prior to the Coinbase acquisition, Balaji took over as CEO of Earn's predecessor to help turn that company around. Before that, Dr. Srinivasan was a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, he was the cofounder and CTO of Founders Fund-backed Counsyl, where he won a Wall Street Journal Innovation Award and was named to the MIT TR35.

Dr. Srinivasan holds a BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. He also teaches the occasional class at Stanford, including an online MOOC in 2013 which reached 250,000+ students worldwide.
