Brooklyn Zelenka is Co-Founder and CTO at FISSION, CEO & Chief Scientist at SPADE Co. Blockchain engineer focused on formal verification, language R&D, standards proposals, and generally pushing the envelope. Founder of Special Projects & Decentralized Engineering (SPADE Co), Robot Overlord Software, Code & Coffee, BEAM Vancouver, and Vancouver Functional Programmers meetup. Serial keynote speaker and panelist. Author of numerous Elixir libraries, including Exceptional and the Witchcraft suite. I have deep interests in functional programming, PL theory, principled software, scalable and fault tolerant systems, and developing teams. I’ve done work for a few well known companies, including Facebook, Uber, and Lonely Planet, generally building prototypes, official reference implementations, and establishing best practices for new API products. I’ve worked both as a solo developer, and built/lead teams for such projects.
