Chris Tyrer

Chris Tyrer was head of Fidelity Digital Assets in Europe, which offers European institutional investors access to a full-service, enterprise-grade platform for securing, trading and supporting digital assets. Fidelity Digital Assts is a business of Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 26 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. Mr. Tyrer assumed his current position in December 2019 and manages Fidelity Digital Assets’ European business development and client service activity in the region. Prior to joining Fidelity Digital Assets, Mr. Tyrer served as a managing director at Barclays Investment Bank, leading its digital assets project, which examined the market opportunities for the firm. He also served as global head of commodities trading for Barclays. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tyrer was a founding member and non-executive director of SAGAT Capital, a short-term, systematic managed futures firm, where he advised management on all aspects of the business from trading and risk-management to operations and business development. Prior to that, he held a variety of leadership roles in trading. Mr. Tyrer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics.
