Coinfloor’s history goes back to 2012 when we experienced first hand the challenges of buying, selling and trading bitcoins in the UK, and wanted to build a business that solved this problem. Obi Nwosu (CEO) has over 20 years of experience building online marketplaces including QXL and WeeWorld, a service where tens of millions of users bought virtual items using a virtual currency. Coinfloor has attracted funding from a top-tier early stage VC fund, Passion Capital, and Taavet Hinrikus, the co-founder of TransferWise and first employee of Skype. We also are backed by private investors including Adam Knight, the former MD of Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse’s commodities trading business. Adam also is the Chairman of Coinfloor’s board.
