Cryptape's core team members have been leading or actively involved in a variety of noteworthy blockchain projects, including Peatio, Spark Pool, Ethereum, and CITA (a fast and scalable open-source blockchain solution for enterprises). Cryptape's CEO and cofounder Jan Xie was a core member of Ethereum developer team. He had been involved in the research and application of public chain and engaged in developing Ethereum's next-generation algorithms such as Casper. In addition, the company is reinforced by advisors who are noteworthy individuals in blockchain technology, including Ethereum founder Mr. Vitalik Buterin, ACM Fellow Mr. Robert van Renesse, Co-director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrency and Contracts (IC3) Ms. Elaine Shi, and cryptography expert Mr. Rafael Pass. Cryptape tackled the scalability problem in blockchain with CITA, Cryptape’s fast and scalable blockchain platform. It was made open-source in July 2017 when the 0.8 version was published. CITA is world’s first blockchain framework to successfully adopt a microservices architecture to boost each logical node’s performance. Paired with Cryptape’s own CITA-BFT consensus algorithm, it is highly extensible, customizable, and future-proof. Currently, Cryptape has cooperated with China Merchants Bank, Zhongchao Blockchain Institute, iPayNow, etc. for blockchain related services.
