Denis Nazarov

Denis Nazarov is a partner on the a16z crypto investment team. Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, Denis co-founded Mediachain Labs, the group that led development of Mediachain, a decentralized media attribution protocol that connected creators to their audience directly through content. Mediachain Labs was acquired by Spotify in 2017. Denis is a self-taught software engineer. Before getting involved with startups, he participated passionately in open source communities. He holds a B.F.A. in Photography from NYU, with a minor in Media Studies. Outside of technology, Denis looks for inspiration in history, economics, philosophy, and art.
