DLD Conference's logo

DLD stands for Digital, Life, Design and explores how the digital age fundamentally changes our lives, society and business. Founded in 2005, DLD started as in intimate gathering of friends. Since then it has developed into an interdisciplinary, internationally connected platform for people eager to change the world – through creativity, research, business or personal involvement in a cause close to their hearts. Over the last decade, DLD has become a hub for launching new concepts, connecting disparate ideas or inspiring by example and setting outstanding role models – across continents, industries, fields of research, and thought patterns. DLD Munich, our tentpole event at the beginning the year, has been named “one of the two most important innovation conferences in Europe” by The Economist. In 2019, DLD Munich will take place from January 19-21, shortly before the World Economic in Davos, attracting more than 150 top-notch speakers and 800 influential, "by invitation only" attendees. In order to apply, please visit the detailed conference site. You can find an overview of our upcoming and past conferences here. Over the years, guests and speakers have included Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, Marissa Mayer, Eric Schmidt, Travis Kalanick, Jan Koum, Chad Hurley, Tony Fadell, Jack Dorsey, Sean Parker, Satya Nadella, Jeremy Stoppelman, Arianna Huffington or Lawrence Lessig, Troy Carter, Natalie Massenet, Paolo Coelho, curators Hans Ulrich Obrist and Chris Dercon, architects Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas and Norman Foster, artists like Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, Olafur Eliasson and Taryn Simon, superstars Lady Gaga and Alanis Morissette, but also Nobel laureates Daniel Kahneman and Martti Ahtisaari, scientists Craig Venter, Dimitar Sasselov and Sebastian Thrun, and investors such as Reid Hoffmann, Jim Breyer, Ben Horowitz and Peter Thiel. Building on the success of the initial conference in Munich, DLD is constantly expanding and creating new events around the globe. For our current lineup, please refer to our Conferences Overview.
