Own your medical & wearable data with Blockchain, opt-in to research, be compensated. Embleema was founded with the vision that decentralized networks could restore trust in the Internet. This, in turn, would allow patients to feel safe about their most critical data. Our mission is to empower patients within the healthcare system by restoring their right to own their healthcare data, giving them full control on how it is shared and providing options to monetize it using blockchain. We’re building the patient-driven healthcare blockchain network for secure sharing of personal health records. Hosted on a private Ethereum blockchain, our consolidated and highly-secure repository provides the healthcare ecosystem with an undisputed and comprehensive view of patients medical histories. Embleema is creating a decentralized healthcare data economy by connecting the key stakeholders in the healthcare industry, directly with patients while maintaining the patient’s data sovereignty. Embleema’s decentralized Blockchain network connects a patient’s dispersed health records from his/her: various care centers, such as hospitals, primary care practices, rehabilitative centers, nursing homes, medical laboratories and urgent care centers, connected devices, such as wellness trackers and medical devices, reported outcomes and other self-reported health data genomics and disease-specific data (e.g. tumor type in oncology) and chains them into a meaningful, comprehensive, and highly secure patient record. Our Health Blockchain is open to all healthcare stakeholders generating and leveraging patient medical information- such as patients, health providers, health systems and care centers, insurance providers, healthcare authorities, pharmaceuticals and medical device manufacturers- provided they comply with patient data privacy and data security regulations. Embleema’s healthcare blockchain is an open-platform that will allow third-party developers to offer patient services. As co-chair of the Linux Foundation Hyperledger Healthcare Working Group, Embleema will drive standardization for healthcare-specific smart contracts and publish reusable open-source components to drive adoption of the healthcare blockchain network.
