The LINK ecosystem refers to the cryptocurrency environment that shares the general-purpose coin LINK. Our goal is to build a token economy that can be used by anyone, conveniently and naturally as part of daily life.

Since its launch in 2011, LINE has grown into a global service used by millions around the world. Today, it’s more than a simple mobile messenger, having evolved into a smart portal that provides comprehensive solutions for all aspects of our users’ lives. It was the contributions of our users that drove the rapid growth of the LINE ecosystem. Now we want to take the idea of contribution-driven growth to the next level, rewarding users by sharing the added value of the LINE ecosystem with them. Through the launch of our blockchain and token economy, LINE is doing just that — optimizing how we share value and promote mutual growth as we continue to transform into a new digital era.

The LINE Token Economy is centered around a single token, our general-purpose coin LINK. This means that LINK is able to be used for a wide range of services, making it more valuable than a cryptoasset that is limited to a single service. A single-token economy can make the overall ecosystem more dynamic and stable, and because dApps contribute to the economy, they can grow with it. For the economy’s users, who participate in and add value to the ecosystem, their rewards have more usability and value, and they can use LINK for a great variety of services without the hassle of constantly going to a token exchange. In short, being a single-token economy makes LINK more valuable and useful.

The Ardor Main Chain will be where all Ardor tokens ARDR will reside. It will serve as the system that secures all child chains and processes their transactions.

Ardor is a blockchain-as-a-service-platform that evolved from the time-tested Nxt blockchain. It launched on January 1, 2018 after a successful year on testnet. The unique parent-child chain architecture of Ardor, with a single security chain and multiple transactional chains, offers three advantages: reducing blockchain bloat, providing multiple transactional tokens, and hosting ready-to-use interconnected blockchains called child chains.

Clarion aims to give everyone in the world the tools to broadcast their message to everyone who wants to hear their message without creating dependencies on centralized infrastructure. It will achieve this with a censorship resistant "friend to friend" network which will leverage the unused resources of your friends and family to distribute your content.

The ultimate goal is to provide the performance and reliability of a "centralized service" with the freedom and independence of a logically decentralized network. With the help of the Clarion community we can free our friends and family from the tyranny of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, Apple and Google and produce a social network free from manipulation and 3rd party dependence.

Clarion learns lessons from other projects, including RetroShare, Hive (previously SteemIt ), and Voice. RetroShare is far closer to the desired level of decentralization, but has a clunky interface that isn't viable on mobile. Meanwhile, blockchain based networks are "logically centralized" and require all full nodes to process all transactions. This is not suitable for home users at scale and creates dependencies on a small number of web portals.

One of the more successful decentralized protocols is IPFS and IPNS. These P2P protocols facilitate the publishing of location independent websites; however, they have a couple of drawbacks. Among these drawbacks are the need to keep your own node online in order to seed your content -- there is no free way to "push to IPFS". There is also a high latency to looking up content. Lastly, there is not really an opportunity for dynamic multi-user interaction.

Protocols like Zeronet provide an application framework to build dynamic websites which are loaded/shared over the BitTorrent protocol. My experience with Zeronet is that it doesn't work well on Mobile, it takes a long time to "sync" pages, and suffers from excessive spam or and moderation. At scale, a Zeronet application is just a logically centralized as a blockchain application.

The core of the Clarion OS is a friend-to-friend message propagation protocol that enables the following kinds of message flows between cryptographic identities:

asynchronous person to person (like email)
realtime person to person (video/chat)
one to many (like tweet/Facebook)
many to many (like an open chatroom / blockchain)

Utilizing Web Assembly plugins it should be possible to build many different kinds of applications on top of Clarion OS, including tokens and smart contracts. A key distinction between Clarion OS and prior blockchain platforms is that the base layer has no need to reach consensus on the "order" of user actions nor to interpret the meaning of transactions. If typical Ethereum and EOS smart contracts are considered "layer 1", then Clarion OS could be considered "layer 0".

Aptos was designed with an emphasis on absolute safety, extensible scalability, and credible neutrality — values that we know firsthand and viscerally understand.

We are not starting from scratch. We are the original creators, researchers, designers, and builders of Diem, the blockchain that was first built to serve this purpose. While the world never got to see what we built, our work is far from over.

We have had the luxury of thinking about these problems alongside some of the brightest engineers in the world for years. Since departing Meta (formerly Facebook) we have been able to put our ideas into motion, ditch bureaucratic red tape, and build an entirely new network from the ground up that brings them to fruition. We’re now ready to socialize those ideas more broadly and start shipping the infrastructure that we’ve been perfecting.

Aptos will be built in part on the technology we developed in the open over the past three years. Aptos is using Move, the safe and reliable language originally developed for Diem. The ideas we conceived then are still relevant and will serve as an important foundation for a safe, scalable, upgradable Web3. Our plans for decentralization and permissionless access are progressing quickly and will be developed in the open.

We have years of experience developing and deploying systems at scale, and our entire team has dedicated our careers to this calling. My cofounder, Avery Ching, is one of the world’s leading experts in building distributed systems and scaling them for billions of users. The rest of the founding team at Aptos consists of an impressive group of PhDs, researchers, engineers, designers and strategists including Alden Hu, Alin Tomescu, Dahlia Malkhi, David Wolinsky, Greg Nazario, Jake Skinner, Josh Lind, Max Kaplan, Mo Ahmed, Neil Harounian, Rati Gelashivili, Rustie Lin, Sasha Spiegelman, Sherry Xiao and Zekun Li.

As a team, we are driven by the confidence that we are the right people to build the safest, most scalable and most widely accessible network. That might sound cliché or overly idyllic, but we mean it wholeheartedly: a world utility cannot succeed in the hands of a few. Aptos will only succeed if it is collectively used, owned and maintained by everyone.

Now, on the fourth iteration of the consensus protocol, we are confident that Aptos is capable of bringing affordability, decentralization, and speed to the daily lives of billions of internet users. It is the lowest latency, optimistically-responsive BFT protocol available, and it features a robust, on-chain reputation system and novel methods for parallel execution — a key enabler of speed at scale. We will rapidly deploy many key innovations in performance, functionality and improvements to the overall user experience and leverage our ability to do major upgrades seamlessly in the process.

All blockchains today face the same problem: the scalability trilemma. Since global consensus is slow and expensive, adding more nodes aids in decentralization, but hampers speed and overall scalability.

Nervos Network tackles the scalability trilemma by separating state generation and state verification/storage in a layered architecture. As a public permissionless blockchain system, Nervos CKB provides powerful data abstraction, broad consensus, and strong security — all without sacrificing decentralization.
