James Check

James Check (pseudonym Checkmate) is the lead analyst for Glassnode and specializes in the study of the Bitcoin economy. He fell down the Bitcoin rabbit hole throughout the 2018 bear market, and began his research into the field of on-chain analytics as the discipline began to emerge in late 2018. With a passion for macro economics, markets, and Bitcoin on-chain data, he started on the path of education, helping curious investors understand more about what happens under the hood of Bitcoin and crypto-assets. James joined Glassnode as Lead Analyst in Feb 2021, where he manages the team producing research, analysis, and educational content around the discipline of on-chain analytics.
