Jason Best is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Vectr Fintech Partners (VFP), a globally-focused early stage fintech Venture Capital firm, based in San Francisco and Hong Kong. We bring over 20 years of fintech founder experience, 7+ years of experience working on fintech policy and regulation in 40+ countries with financial regulators, government ministries, multi-lateral organizations and a track record of successful investments (and exits) in fintech. I co-founded Crowdfund Capital Advisors (CCA). Named 2017's Crowdfunding Person of the Year. CCA works with The World Bank, professional investors, governments, development organizations, professional services firms and entrepreneurs globally to create policy and business strategies to fully leverage the power of crowdfund investing. CCA is a Key Parter of the U.S. State Department's Global Entrepreneurship Program that works to further diplomacy and stability through building effective entrepreneurial and early-stage funding ecosystems. I am one of the three people responsible for creating the CrowdFund Investment Framework used by the President in the Jobs Act, that helped change the laws making crowdfund investing legal in the US. As a founding member of Startup Exemption, I worked for 460 days from to change 78 year old securities laws. We were honored to be attend the Rose Garden Ceremony at the White House on April 5, 2012 to watch President Obama sign crowdfunding legislation. I am an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UC Berkeley's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and co-founded the UC Berkeley Program for Innovation in Entrepreneurial and Social Finance to study crowdfunding globally. I have co-founded the two leading global crowdfunding associations: the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) and the CrowdFunding Intermediary Regulatory Advocates(CFIRA). My background prior to crowdfunding is in building and leading SAAS companies. I work with founders and leaders to create structure, strategy and execution to effectively grow companies. Most recently, I acted as a member of a 3 person executive leadership team and created structure, strategy and process that helped drive 1300% revenue growth and have scaled the size and capabilities of the organization during my engagement with them from 2008-2012.
