Jiani Chen was an investor at Felicis Ventures where she sourced the team's investment in Sourcegraph (DevOps, $2B+) and helped to close investments in Xilis (Cancer Therapeutics), and Opsera (DevOps). She also helped to manage Felicis's investments in several well-known startup unicorns including Canva ($40B+), Cultureamp ($1B+), Hyperscience and Dialpad ($1B+) Other companies Jiani worked on while at Felicis include Assembled, Bluecore ($1B+), Datagrail, Dovetail, Hippo (NASDAQ: HIPO), Alloy.co ($1B+), Ontic, Okera, Overture Life, Puzzle.io, Trialspark ($1B+), TopFunnel, Pendulum Therapeutics, and ProteinQure. Jiani was previously on the investment team at ICONIQ Capital and Goldman Sachs. Jiani is an accomplished pianist and passed the highest-level certification (Level 10) in China. Her favorite piece in her repertoire is Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu in C# Minor (Op. 66). She grew up in Shanghai, China and speaks fluent Mandarin, Spanish, and French. Her favorite sports are alpine skiing, hiking and boxing.
