Jun is an entrepreneur and no stranger to the startup world. Prior to founding payments company Omise, he was involved in founding a series of tech companies in Japan mainly in the fields of e-commerce, life log and mobile payments. He has over 16 years of professional experience in web & product design and previously held several management positions with Alpha-do Inc. in Japan.

Currently based in Bangkok, Jun is the full-time CEO of Omise, a multinational payments company currently present in Thailand (HQ), Japan, Singapore and Indonesia that has raised over USD 50M in funding. He has led the company through dramatic growth, from its launch in 2013 to its establishment as one of Southeast Asia's leading online payment platforms.

In 2015, Jun's desire to stay on the pioneering edge of practical tech innovation led to Omise becoming one of the first companies, and the very first financial services company, to join the Ethereum community. In 2017, after over a year of research and development, this culminated in the launch of OmiseGO, the crowd-funded blockchain division of Omise tasked with creating the OMG network, an Ethereum-based public blockchain with the ambitious vision of enabling financial service equity by radically decentralizing value transfer and exchange.

Peter Thiel is a technology entrepreneur and investor.He first gained attention for innovations in banking and startup finance. Today he is known as the mentor of the PayPal mafia of entrepreneurs, as well as for his warnings of a coming technology deficit with severe economic consequences. He works to accelerate innovation to prevent such a crisis by identifying and funding promising technology ideas and by guiding successful companies to scale and dominate their industries.

In 1998,Thiel made e-commerce easier, faster, and more secure by co-founding and leading PayPal, which now has more than 128 million active financial accounts. He sponsors the Committee to Protect Journalists, The Seasteading Institute, and the Human Rights Foundation. He funds the artificial intelligence research of theMachine Intelligence Research Institute.

He also aids work against violence through theOslo Freedom Forum and through the research of philosopher René Girard, which is extended and promulgated by Imitatio. He also promotes better health by funding the longevity research of Dr. Cynthia Kenyon and the SENS Research Foundation.Thiel created the 20 Under 20 Thiel Fellowship, which nurtures the tech visionaries of tomorrow. And he formed Breakout Labs to help independent scientists, engineers, and inventors advance their most radical ideas.

Thiel earned a B.A. in philosophy from Stanford University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he occasionally teaches on globalization and technology and serves on the board of overseers of the Hoover Institution.

His articles have appeared in Policy Review and the Wall Street Journal. He co-produced the film Thank You for Smoking, was rated a master by the United States Chess Federation, and received the Innovation Award from the Economist in 2010. He lives in San Francisco.

Joseph Poon is co-founder of Lightning Labs, which is implementing the Lightning Network White Paper Poon wrote to solve limitations in the Bitcoin blockchain. It’s designed to give Bitcoin trustless support for thousands of very low-cost transactions per second. In addition to overcoming Bitcoin’s scaling limitations, it adds capability for cross-chain transactions, privacy protection, micropayments, payment receipts, and multi-hop payments.  Poon is also on the team that’s building OmiseGo, a proof-of-stake blockchain, and the decentralized ethereum-based exchange that will use OmiseGo to let crypto investors trade almost any currency, both fiat and crypto, with each other directly rather than through third-party companies. The OmiseGo blockchain is expected to launch Q4 2017.

Before starting Parity, I was responsible for IT security and partner integration within the Ethereum Foundation around the launch of the public blockchain in 2015. I am also a co-founder of Project Provenance Ltd, a London based start-up that employs blockchain technology to make supply chains more transparent. I advise various projects that use blockchain technology, such as Energy start-up Grid Singularity. 

Originally trained as a Mathematician and hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics, I started my early professional career as an associate for management consultancy McKinsey.

He is founder of several Silicon Valley companies.  In 1993, he founded Match.Com the world’s largest dating company where he came up with he idea of online dating, wrote the original business plan, invested the original capital, lead the design of the product and hired the first 20 employees.  Kremen also founded Clean Power Finance (backed by Kleiner Perkins, Google Ventures and Claremont Creek Ventures), the leading residential solar power financing platform company which over one third of all solar installers in the U.S. run their business upon.  He co-founded, with Ben Dubin, Full Source Software and Los Altos Technologies, early Internet firms.  Gary incubated, was the first outside board member and wrote the first check in Dolores Labs (now Crowdflower), the leading crowdsourcing company.

He is an investor in over 50 companies including such clean technology companies as HydroNovation, Watersmart Software (where he is the Chairman), Sunlink, Carbon Flow, Recurve, Greenbox (acquired by Silver Springs Network), Enmetric, Ready Solar (acquired by Sun Edision), Solar Universe, Lifefactory, People Power Co., Niman Ranch, and Marone Bio Innovations.
Gary is the primary inventor of the seminal U.S. patent for dynamically created web pages, patent #5,706,434 as well as patents #7,698,210 and #7,890,436.  He holds an MBA from Stanford University as well as degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University.
