Ozone X is an early-stage (Seed-Series A) venture capital firm purpose-built to invest in and scale mission-driven tech companies led by women and other founders from traditionally underrepresented communities and cultures. In addition to our Partners’ experience investing in and building premier companies like Airbnb, iZettle and Lime, Ozone X leverages a proprietary expert network and AI “assessment platform” to identify high potential, early-stage tech companies. At Ozone X, we empower the change we want to see. That’s why we focus on propelling under-served founders overlooked by typical VCs (women, immigrants, etc). That they are proven to offer better ROI is just good business. While we’re always looking for the next great mission-driven company that will help humankind thrive to its fullest, we targets companies solving systemic problems within the Sustainability, Health, Education and Employment sectors. One of the major barriers diverse founders face when fundraising is cognitive bias. This is not only an impediment to the founders themselves but also degrades the integrity and flow of the global economy. By harnessing the power of crowdsourced expert intelligence (a proprietary network of 1,000s of senior leaders in their fields) and decision analysis methodologies, OzoneX brings collective decision science to the art of venture investing. Of the first ~30 investments made through our “assessment platform”, 85%+ of the companies that are greater than a year-old have seen follow-on funding (3x better than leading VC firms today) and nearly 50% were led by diverse founders.
