Rosa Thompson

Rosa Thompson is Lead Development, Australian Public Sector at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Formerly Venture Architect at ConsenSys. I'm in a demand generation sales role on the Australian Public Sector team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). I did my MBA at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) with a focus on entrepreneurship. Currently I’m enrolled in a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics at Deakin University; potentially continuing onto their Master of Data Science. I'm interested in emerging tech trends like AI, machine learning, blockchain, and internet of things. I've done training courses in web development, product management and UX design. Before AWS, I worked in marketing and sales roles at a few startups (Academy Xi, Henley Club, ConsenSys) and dabbled in my own entrepreneurial endeavours; some of which time I spent living in the United States (San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York), which gave me exposure to the US tech scene. I like public speaking and I have given talks at several conferences such as SXSW Version 2.0 in Las Vegas on behalf of Girls in Tech, Blockchain Pacific in Papua New Guinea and the Digital Innovation Festival in Melbourne. I volunteer with organisations supporting women and girls in business and STEM. Outside of work I'm interested in fitness and wellness, performing arts and personal development.
