Brock Pierce is the co-founder of Blockchain Capital, a venture capital company that invests in blockchain related startups (such as EOS and Tether). He is the Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, and also runs one of the top AngelList syndicates. He also speaks at numerous blockchain events and conferences around the world.

Brock Pierce is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist with an extensive track record of founding, advising and investing in disruptive businesses. He's credited with pioneering the market for digital currency and has raised more than $5B for companies he has founded. Pierce is the Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation and co-founder of EOS Alliance, Block.one, Blockchain Capital, Tether, and Mastercoin (first ICO).

Block.one was created in 2017 and has sold over $4B tokens in the EOS crowdsale making it the largest ever. Blockchain Capital was founded in 2013 and is the first sector-focused venture fund that invests solely in Blockchain technology companies. Pierce led the firm through the first ICO of a venture fund, which created the first security token. Blockchain Capital has made more than 100 investments in the sector across its four funds. The firm was named the most active FinTech Venture Fund by Pitchbook. Tether is the first stable coin and asset backed token.

Pierce is an early investor in Bitcoin and one of the largest investors in the Ethereum crowdsale. He is the founder of IMI Exchange, the world’s leading digital currency marketplace for games, with annual sales exceeding $1B and investors such as Goldman Sachs, which was sold in 2016 for more than $100M. Pierce founded ZAM, one of the world’s largest media properties for gamers, which was acquired by Tencent in 2012. He founded IGE, the pioneer of digital currency in online games, achieving revenues exceeding $100 million in 2006 and sold in 2007. Pierce is also a co-founder of D10e, GoCoin, Blade Payments, Five Delta (sold NASDAQ: SRAX), Xfire 2.0, Playsino, Evertune, GamesTV, and DEN. He also advises Airswap, Bancor, BitGo, BitGuild, BlockV, Bloq, DNA, Element Group, Metronome, Shyft, and tZERO.

Brock Pierce

Shawn Fanning is Co-Founder of Helium, and angel investor. He developed Napster, one of the first popular peer-to-peer ("P2P") file sharing platforms, in 1999. The popularity of Napster was widespread and Fanning was featured on the cover of Time magazine.

The site in its initial free P2P incarnation was shut down in 2001 after the company's unsuccessful appeal of court orders arising from its encouraging the illegal sharing of copyrighted material. A paid subscription version of the site followed, and was purchased by Rhapsody on December 1, 2011. Following his involvement with Napster, he joined, and invested in, a number of early-stage technology startup companies.

Adam B. Struck, Founder and Managing Partner at Struck Capital. Prior to Struck Capital, Adam was a Co-Founder of Long Island Brand Beverages, a CPG company acquired by Cullen Investments and taken public on the NASDAQ. Previously, Adam was an M&A / PE attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, one of the largest law firms in the world. Adam graduated from Northwestern University where he completed the Kellogg School of Management Certificate Program. He also graduated from Georgetown Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. Adam is a member of the NY Bar Association and has also been recognized by Forbes, making the coveted 30 Under 30 List for Venture Capital.

I am a cryptographic researcher at NuCypher. My research is oriented towards cryptographic solutions for privacy and security in untrusted environments; in particular, with the use of proxy re-encryption. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at NICS Lab (Universidad de Málaga, Spain).

David Nunez

Prior to founding Castle Island Ventures, Matt was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments where he led a number of the firm’s blockchain / cryptoasset initiatives. While at Fidelity, he led the creation, operationalization, and the investment strategy of a private fund focused exclusively on the cryptoasset sector.

Matt holds a BS in Business Administration from Babson College and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Barry worked as an investment banker in New York. He graduated with honors from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.
