Steven Nerayoff, Founder and CEO of Alchemist, is a prolific entrepreneur, attorney, venture capital, and inventor with over 20 international patents. Nerayoff is best known for creating the token sale as we know it today. Nerayoff is an expert in the blockchain industry and has advisor or invested in more than 25 leading projects including Ethereum, tZero, Lisk, and AION. He is also the Founding Chairman of Global Blockchain Technologies Corp. (CSE: BLOC.U) and Global Blockchain Mining Corp (CSE:FORK). Nerayoff’s experience in the blockchain industry ultimately led him to launch Alchemist. Alchemist is a leading consultancy, and investment firm for high-potential blockchain companies. The company and/or its founder, Steven, have advised or invested in over 25 projects including tZERO, Lisk, and AION. Alchemist Founder Steven Nerayoff is well-known for innovating the legal concept of the “utility” token, which has been referred to as the Architect of Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and continues to be the basic structure used throughout the world today. As the creator of the token sale as we know it today, Steven also set the standard by designing the seminal Security Token Offering (STO) for tZERO, the world’s first security token exchange. Nerayoff has been a key innovator of both “utility” and “security” tokens. In addition to launching Alchemist, Nerayoff is the founder of several other successful ventures. Nerayoff is the Founder & Executive Chairman of CloudParc, a patented next-generational artificial intelligence and blockchain based smart city platform. Prior to serving as founder of three successful ventures, Nerayoff founded a multitude of companies in New York and across Silicon Valley including Fleetwood Owen, eWanted.com, Freedom Eldercare, iOffer.com, and Inside/Out City Guides. Prior to founding a series of successful ventures, Steven was a practicing attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where he focused on technology issues, M&A, structured transactions, and tax law. Steven holds a BS in Accounting from American University in Washington, DC., a JD from Tulane University Law School, and an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
