Thomas J. W. works as Program Director at On Deck. He has experience as content strategist, ghost/copywriter, growth/marketing consultant, investor, and advisor. Equally comfortable at the whiteboard or the podium, Tom prides himself on his integrity, work ethic, resiliency, and sense of humor. During his five year tenure at Google, Tom worked as content strategist, senior editor, research analyst, and product strategy lead across many different business units. In particular, he focused on product and go-to-market strategy, VC/startup ecosystem development, and the publication of content devoted to expanding the aperture of access to economic opportunity. An experienced marketer and growth consultant, Tom has partnered with clients of all sizes and business models. Whether driving leads, garnering subscriptions, or increasing sales, Tom works with honesty and professionalism in order to cut through the noise of today’s digital landscape and deliver sustainable results. Tom serves as the Director of Innovation on Notre Dame’s Young Alumni Board of Directors. Additionally, he has mentored a number of international consumer and enterprise startups. A Hesburgh-Yusko Scholar, Tom graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he delivered a TEDx Talk about his life with Tourette syndrome, and graduated with a double major in the Program of Liberal Studies and Italian.
