In 1996, we released the first version of Calendars for the Web™, our popular interactive, web-based calendaring/scheduling system. We’ve been delivering this monthly service for more than 15 years, enabling 1,000s of clients to coordinate shared resources among their many participants.

Our dedication to quality software and customer service is reflected in our long, fruitful relationships with our clients. In early 2016, we pivoted our full attention to the Ethereum blockchain space. We first released EthSlurp™ in March of  2016. Since then we’ve been working on QuickBlocks™.

Eli has been passionate about the theory (“moon math”) and realization of transparent computational integrity since 2001, when he was a post-doctoral researcher at MIT and Harvard University, after completing his PhD in CS at the Hebrew University.

He is a Professor of Computer Science at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, which he joined in 2005, a co-inventor of the Zerocash decentralized anonymous payment system and a founding scientist of the Zcash company.

Shai Halevi research covers most aspects of cryptography: from public-key to symmetric cryptography, constructions, cryptanalysis, and foundational work. It includes breakthrough results on multilinear maps and obfuscation, advances in the theory of homomorphic encryption, and the implementations of both the HElib homomorphic encryption library and of branching-program obfuscation.

Shai is a Fellow and a board member of the International Association of Cryptologic Research (IACR). He is the recipient of the 2017 SIGSAC Outstanding Innovation Award, the Eurocrypt 2013 best paper award and the IBM Pat Goldberg best-paper awards in 2004, 2012 and 2013. He is the chair of the steering committee for the TCC conference, and was program (co)chair of ACM-CCS 2016, Crypto 2009, and TCC 2006.

Shai obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT in 1997 and has authored more than 100 publications with over 20,000 citations. Prior to joining the Algorand Foundation, he was a researcher at IBM Research.
