Synthetix, formerly Havven, is a cryptoasset-backed network that enables the creation of on-chain synthetic assets.

The network reduces price volatility through its dual-token system: HAV, the collateral token, and nUSD, the asset-backed stablecoin. nUSD is collateralised by the value of HAV, and the value of HAV comes from transaction fees that are generated with all nUSD transactions and paid to HAV holders. The value of nUSD is kept stable by HAV holders, who are incentivised to manage its supply. Havven is currently on Ethereum but will also be on EOSIO by the end of 2018.

yEarn is a liquidity aggregator providing automated yield farming strategy through a number of lending pools. The protocol’s most well-known pool, yearn.finance, shifts capital between top DeFi lending protocols like Compound, Aave and dYdX – ultimately geared at providing lenders the best return on liquidity.

yEarn also created Curve’s Y pool, a lending pool consisting of top stablecoins like USDC, DAI, TUSD and USDT, and is used for the BUSD Curve pool thanks to yEarn’s interest-earning yToken standard.

yEarn recently released a native governance token, YFI, which is earned through liquidity money on a number of different pools. YFI is earned by staking proof of liquidity and is one of the only DeFi tokens which was launched with no premine and no initial DEX offering.

Validity Labs is a leading provider of blockchain-based decentralized applications and based in Switzerland. Our journey started in 2015 with the Ethereum genesis block and have since grown to a dedicated team of 19. 

Validity Labs is a technical partner for a range of blockchain startups supporting especially in the areas of initial coin offerings (ICOs), tokenization and decentralized marketplaces. We develop smart contracts, build web interfaces for them and maintain a backend management toolchain. We also work with large corporations (e.g. insurance companies and fund managers) on their first blockchain products.
