Michael Egorov is Co-founder and CTO at NuCypher. Before starting NuCypher, Michael worked on infrastructure tools at LinkedIn, where he faced some of the thorniest scaling challenges in the world. He has experience as a scientist and physicist, where he worked in an area closely related to quantum computing and cryptography. Michael was a bronze medalist in the 2003 International Physics Olympiad and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Jonathan Tompkins joined Atomica at its inception in September of 2018.

Before joining Atomica he spent 12+ years in management, deployment, and custom solution design in traditional fintech. He started and ran the professional services department at Eze Software group, a global provider of Investment Management Systems to hedge funds and asset managers with 1,800+ clients in 45+ countries. There he ran a team of analysts and developers designing and building solutions for clients’ complex portfolio allocation, compliance, P&L, Risk Management, and trading logic needs.

Through the 2008 financial crisis he was in New York, working closely with clients and witnessing the result of unchecked leverage and risk taking being minimal real consequences to those taking the risks.

This experience and finding bitcoin and ethereum in 2016 inspired him to build better financial systems on decentralized infrastructure. Jon studied Economics and Philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Arthur Cheong is Investor at DeFiance Capital, Founder of Chaintech Ventures.

Arthur is an investor and trader in the crypto industry with a unique background spanning startup, oil trading, and cryptoasset.

He is the founder & Fund Manager of DeFiance Capital, a cryptoasset investment fund combining fundamental research & activist investing approach. Arthur is featured as one of the top DeFi investors by The Block Research, one of the top research firms in the crypto space. Arthur has a deep understanding of cryptoeconomics specifically around system incentives design and token value capture.

Previously, he was the Vice President of Growth & Strategy at Zilliqa, a leading scalable and secure public blockchain-based in Singapore. Before joining Zilliqa, Arthur worked closely with JST Capital, an institutional digital asset trading firm for its trading strategy and operation.

Prior to his venture into the crypto space, he was in the trader development program in BP, one of the largest physical traders of oil and gas in the world, rotating across shipping, analytics, and trading functions where he worked closely with traders and charterers to generate entrepreneurial trading profit for the company.

During his university time, he was active in co-curricular activities and was the vice president of the investment club where he led the investment research team to provide top investment insights to the student population. He was also featured in ChannelNews Asia as one of the young investors before.

Arthur graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a major in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship. At his free time, he enjoys poker and deep-diving into the crypto rabbit hole.

Zachary Cole is a blockchain protocol engineer and DeFi enthusiast. Currently, he is the Co-Founder and CTO of SlingShot, a DeFi trading platform. Previously, he founded a company called WhiteBlock, which specialized in blockchain protocol testing, research and development.

He also serve as technical advisor to several blockchain related companies, like DeFi Pulse and the Syscoin Foundation.

He has been involved in the blockchain space since 2012 and Ethereum development since 2016. He received his training as a communications engineer in the United States Marine Corps where he and his unit were responsible for building and maintaining the communications and Internet infrastructure for Iraq's Al Anbar Province during Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-08. These efforts included the engineering of field data centers, satellite communications, and the implementation and management of mission-critical cryptographic assets. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Zak worked in the field of cyber security, network engineering, and applied cryptography. He also ran an Internet agency and worked with Google prior to founding Whiteblock, a blockchain testing company whose clientele includes the Department of Defense, ConsenSys, Beam, RChain, Syscoin, and the Ethereum Foundation.
