By doing so, it creates a social consensus layer for the internet, accurately representing the agreed-upon social value of anything, from random Tweets to your history professor. It does this by interacting with the Yup Protocol, which is a decentralized semi-autonomous social consensus protocol that determines the rewards and social value of all content based on users' interactions with it.

The best way to use Yup is through the Yup Web Extension, a browser plug-in that allows you to vote on any site or piece of content across the web. It also stores your money and displays the social value of everything in a color coded scheme.

Support from the 1inch Foundation is enabling development of a token-gated virtual city that will be owned and governed by the 1inch community as a founding city of Atlantis.

The beta version of the 1inch City will ship in Q2 2022. In the meantime, 1inch holders can look forward to a completely new version of Atlantis coming before the end of 2021 where they’ll be able to interact with the 1inch Network inside of the metaverse.

Most of our team was lost or overwhelmed when we tried to learn about cryptocurrency. All of the entry level content ended with the same conclusion: blockchain is a revolutionary technology, so get involved. But how could we get started and apply what we read? After making an initial investment through an entry level exchange, the next step was anything but obvious. The online communities where much of the discussion takes place were relatively walled off – as a newcomer or even as an enthusiast, it was hard to break in.
