Opside is a Three-layer Platform Providing ZK-Rollup as a Service. It adopts PoS & PoW as the hybrid consensus and provides ZK-RaaS (zkRollup as a Service).

Presumably, most end users wouldn’t understand it easily, so let’s break some concepts down: a. 3-Layer Architecture. 

We guess most people are no strangers to L2. And then the 3-layer architecture mentioned here is:

L1: ETH, BNB Chain, and other public chains.

L2: Consensus and data availability layer, all transactions and data generated will be hashed and stored on the L2 Opside chain, achieving high-speed transactions and low gas fees.

L3: Application layer based on zkRollups. It is compatible with various zkEVMs and provides programmability.

Agoric is committed to making strong security easier to achieve. Creating secure smart contracts using today’s technology is inherently difficult. That difficulty has limited both the number of applications created, and the number of programmers qualified to create them. We are developing an open, JavaScript-based, object-capability (ocap) programming layer to address both issues. Synthetix, formerly Havven, is a cryptoasset-backed network that enables the creation of on-chain synthetic assets.

The network reduces price volatility through its dual-token system: HAV, the collateral token, and nUSD, the asset-backed stablecoin. nUSD is collateralised by the value of HAV, and the value of HAV comes from transaction fees that are generated with all nUSD transactions and paid to HAV holders. The value of nUSD is kept stable by HAV holders, who are incentivised to manage its supply. Havven is currently on Ethereum but will also be on EOSIO by the end of 2018.

Dai is an Ethereum ERC20 token that is pegged to $1 USD — every Dai is worth $1.

Dai is created by users borrowing against locked collateral and destroyed when loans are repaid. Anyone can create new dai by depositing ether as collateral and drawing an appropriate amount of dai. Locked collateral can be recovered at any time by paying back the borrowed dai (plus a stability fee). Thus, all dai in circulation is at all times backed by at least as much collateral. You can also exchange for Dai at both traditional exchanges and decentralized exchanges. 
 
Hedging: During periods of high market instability, Dai offers a safe harbour to store value without having to exit the crypto space.

Lending: High volatility creates an uncertain lending environment as borrowers and lenders cannot comfortably plan for the future. Dai’s low volatility makes them a perfect medium for a stable, predictable loan.

Decentralized Leverage: In creating CDPs, users can get more capital without spending collateral they are bullish on.

Payments / Online Purchases: Users can spend Dai at merchants that accept crypto at point of sale.

Decentralized exchanges: Decentralized exchanges are frequently unable to provide fiat-offramps. Dai allows their users to trade their assets for a low volatility currency that is stable relative to other widely accepted currencies like the US Dollar.

Exchange pairs: Crypto-to-crypto trading can be a complicated proposition. It is difficult to track earnings when the base trading pair is rising and falling in value as users are making trades. Creating low-volatility pairings with Dai allows for greater price predictability.

Supply Chain: As goods and assets exchange hands, middlemen take large fees for ensuring safe transactions, lending stable capital, and brokering cross-border initiatives. Dai and blockchain can reduce the costs of supply chain and international trade.

Prediction Markets: Long term betting becomes infeasible if users also have to gamble on the future price of the asset they are wagering. A cryptocurrency with price stability like Dai can be the natural choice for prediction markets and gambling applications.

Chainlink is blockchain middleware that allows smart contracts to access key off-chain resources like data feeds, various web APIs, and traditional bank account payments. By providing smart contracts secure access to these key resources, ChainLink allows them to mimic real world agreements that require external proof of performance and need to make payment in widely available payment methods e.g. bank payments.

The Chainlink Network is a decentralized network of ChainLink Nodes, which are all selling usage of specific data feeds, APIs and various off-chain payment capabilities directly to a smart contract. Any data, payments, e-signature, or other API provider, as well as individual developers, can easily join the network by connecting an API they're familiar with. Once the API they'd like to offer to smart contracts is connected to a ChainLink, they become a ChainLink Node Operator, responsible for keeping that API connected to the ChainLink Network and being compensated in LINK for their successful fulfillment of on-chain requests.
