We run a verifiably-secure cloud backup system, S4 - Simple Secure Storage Service.

We also perform security audits and have done it for a variety of open-source projects, including CryptoCat, GlobalLeaks, SpiderOak, & Ooni. We were hired by Ethereum to perform an incentive analysis on the proof-of-work puzzle, Ethash, and the gas mechanism.

Genesis is an institutional trading firm focused on providing two-sided liquidity for digital currencies on a daily basis.  We make buying and selling large blocks of digital currency a simple, secure, and supported process. In addition to supporting over-the-counter trading of digital currencies and other illiquid assets, Genesis is also the marketing and distribution agent for the Bitcoin Investment Trust and the Ethereum Classic Trust. Genesis is a securities broker-dealer regulated by the SEC and FINRA and has its Bitlicense application pending review by NYS DFS.   

Since 2013, our team has traded over $750 million in digital currency volume on behalf of high net worth individuals and institutions.

For more than thirty years we are providing information about technical and societal issues, such as surveillance, privacy, freedom of information, hacktivism, data security and many other interesting things around technology and hacking issues. As the most influential hacker collective in Europe we organize campaigns, events, lobbying and publications as well as anonymizing services and communication infrastructure. There are many hackerspaces in and around Germany which belong to or share a common bond to the CCC as stated in our hacker ethics.
