Thom Ivy

Thom Ivy is Chief of Staff at Commonwealth Labs. University of Michigan Philosopher. Thom is the Chief of Staff of Commonwealth Labs and led community growth for Edgeware, a smart contract platform with decentralized decision-making features. He is the former Digital Marketing lead at WhistlePig Whiskey, and founded the human pheromone project Pheros. Thom has designed mechanisms for reputation management protocols to prevent sexual abuse and social victimization. Alumnus of the University of Michigan and Y-Combinator Startup School ‘18, he is an accredited philosopher of ethics. Thom is the organizer of Decentralize Detroit, a conversation series on the redistribution of power through technology, and organizes Cryptoqueers and Detroit Blockchainers. He occasionally writes at Medium on blockchain, incentive design, culture, and technology. Thom is deeply committed to pro-social work in all forms. (He also produces electronic music.)
