Dominic Williams is Chief Scientist of the DFINITY project, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, and is President and CTO of String Labs, a Palo Alto-based studio, incubator, and investor focused on advanced open protocol projects. His recent technical works include DFINITY technologies such as the Threshold Relay/Probabilistic Slot Protocol blockchain consensus mechanisms, the Blockchain Nervous System (algorithmic governance for decentralized networks), and the PHI “crypto fiat” autonomous loan issuance system.

Dominic is a crypto theoretician and entrepreneur. His recent research includes Threshold Relay and PSC chains, Validation Towers and Trees, and USCIDs, and he proposes new ideas such as "The 3 E's of Sybil Resistance". Previously he ran a venture-backed MMO game using his own distributed systems that hosted millions of users.

DFINITY working on ICP (Internet Computer Protocol). We will extend the Internet with secure serverless cloud functionality using crypto.

Jutta Steiner was Co-Founder, CEO at Parity Technologies.

Before starting Parity, I was responsible for IT security and partner integration within the Ethereum Foundation around the launch of the public blockchain in 2015. I am also a co-founder of Project Provenance Ltd, a London based start-up that employs blockchain technology to make supply chains more transparent. I advise various projects that use blockchain technology, such as Energy start-up Grid Singularity. 

Originally trained as a Mathematician and hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics, I started my early professional career as an associate for management consultancy McKinsey.

I am CEO/CoFounder of Kyber Network, an on-chain liquidity protocol that powers decentralized applications, including exchanges, funds, lending protocols, payments wallets and so on. I am also researcher working on cryptocurrencies, smart contract security and distributed consensus algorithms. My research focuses on several problems of cryptocurrencies from improving the security to enhancing the scalability and usability of public cryptocurrencies.

Hui Ding is Director of Engineering, Blockchain at Facebook, exploring blockchain technology.

Previously, he was Director of Engineering, Infrastructure at Instagram. Head of Instagram infrastructure team, overseeing Instagram's core infrastructure including Django/Python platform, social graph and Cassandra key-value storage systems, video infrastructure and realtime infrastructure. Responsible for driving reliability, scalability, efficiency and quality of backend infrastructure and web platform. Built out the team from 2 engineers to 70+ engineers across multiple teams. Proud of building a strong engineering culture within the team, and cultivated broad cross-functional collaborations within Facebook. Proven track record of successful delivery of multiple large scale projects. My team also plays a key role in delivering major products at scale, together with our product engineering teams, e.g., Instagram Direct, Stories, Live, IGTV.

Instagram runs the world's largest python fleet in production and we pride ourselves in the way we drive scale, efficiency and technical innovation with Python.

Instagram is also the world's top 3 user of Apache Cassandra, open source key-value storage system. We have been leading some of the 10x changes to Cassandra performance.

Hui Ding

Greg Osuri is Founder & CEO of Overclock Labs and Akash Network, where he develops protocols, tools, and infrastructure to make foundational elements of the internet open, decentralized, and simple. Previously, Greg founded AngelHack and was the CTO for the world's largest hackathon-accelerator with over 80K developers in the ecosystem.

He is the author of several prominent open source toolkits that are well-regarded by the DevOps community and downloaded over 25M times. He has been ranked amongst top 20 programmers worldwide on several occasions for authoring open-source libraries used by widely-adopted projects like Ubuntu and Kubernetes.

He drives the company’s strategy, partnerships, and growth. Andrew draws on his previous experience founding an ISO, covering emerging payments at Merrill Lynch, and optimizing processes as an engineer at LG. He earned an MBA from Georgia Tech and a bachelor’s from the University of Florida.
