Powered by General Catalyst, Rough Draft Ventures is a student team that helps university students in their journey from creating ‘rough drafts’ to startup companies by investing at the earliest stage. We support student-led teams with up to $25K in funding, and provide access to a community of peers, experienced mentors, alumni and investors to help take their startups to the next level. Decisions are led by a team of university students dedicated to encouraging tech entrepreneurship & forging a community of student founders.

Next Big Thing AG (NBT) is Europe's premier startup incubator for the Internet of Things and Services (IoT/IoS) and Blockchain. Though inherent complexity of IoT and blockchain requires appropriate development time for future applications, these technological advances secure long-term earning opportunities across diverse and massive markets. Researchers Deloitte and Gartner estimate that IoT’s market potential alone will reach over 1 trillion US Dollars by 2020. Through their know-how and ecosystem in IoT and blockchain, NBT strategically leverages synergies, achieves results faster, and reduces risk with new, digital business models.

In contrast to traditional incubators and accelerator programs, NBT has its own core team of technology and business experts who are personally involved in the portfolio venture’s development throughout all growth phases. In as little as 3 to 6 months, a decision is made as to whether a minimum viable product is ready for the market. As an Operational VC, NBT acts as the first investor and capital broker. Because NBT itself invests in the portfolio companies, it’s encoded in NBT’s genes to mitigate any associated risks.

We have already been working with many of the most ambitious projects in the space such as Aave, COMP, Synthetix and THORChain, among many others. In doing so, we’ve come to realize that the scarcest resource these projects face isn’t money, but talent. The vision for the crypto space is nothing less than re-architecting how finance, the internet, and gaming work from the ground up. To execute  this vision, we need even more builders and contributors to enter the space. As they do, we see a future where projects progressively decentralize and exit  their communities to be built and governed by independent teams of contributors from all around the world. Collectively, these contributors will build the future of the space.

Delphi Labs

AngelPad is a seed-stage accelerator program based in NYC and San Francisco. Since 2010 we have launched more than 130 companies. Every 6 months we select about 15 teams from a huge pool of applicants (usually around 2000) to work with us. While other accelerators have decided to “scale” and take on more and more companies or launch more and more cities, we have stayed true to our original goal: Find awesome companies with founders we like to work with and spend three very intense months with them. This focus has paid off, we have risen to be the #1 Accelerator in the U.S. (based on a real study from MIT/Brown University) and Strictly VC called us the “Anti-Y Combinator“. During the program, we work on everything from finding product market fit, defining a target market to getting first validation for the company. We are also instrumental in helping companies prepare for fundraising and of course for investor meetings.
