Ian Emerson

Ian Emerson is Venture Associate at Fabric Ventures. I trained as a chemist to be able to speak the language of scientists. However, not wishing to walk the path of Academia, I broadened my horizons at Imperial College Business School where I fell in love with the world of VC. My final year thesis tackled the returns of alternative asset classes vs public market equivalents and the role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. Now it's time to convert this into practice. At Fabric Ventures I am looking for founders building The Open Economy. That means enabling people to reclaim ownership of their identity, personal data, and to have stakes in the information networks of the next decade.
