James Ho is a founding partner of Modular Capital. He has spent the last 6 years investing in crypto/fintech across public and private markets. With a prior technical background, he leads the firm’s efforts in smart contract platforms (L1/L2s), DeFi and cross chain protocols. Previously, James was Principal at Altimeter Capital, a technology-focused crossover investment firm. Prior to Altimeter, James was Vice President at D. E. Shaw & Co., a $50B+ global multi-strategy hedge fund. He also spent time as a software developer at Bridgewater Associates. James earned his A.B. in Statistics from Harvard, graduating magna cum laude.
