Ryan Breslow

Ryan Breslow is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Bolt, the technology company that is democratizing commerce by bringing lightning-fast, one-click checkout to the world. Hundreds of forward-thinking retailers like Badgley Mischka, Polywood, and others rely on Bolt to convert, retain, and delight shoppers. The world’s first checkout experience platform, Bolt solves the complicated technological challenges involved in checkout, fraud detection, and digital wallets so that retailers can devote their energy to what matters most—growing their product, brand, and customer base. Ryan believes that culture is the next frontier for innovation. Together with Bolt, he launched the Conscious Culture movement in 2021 to open-source all of Bolt’s cultural guidelines with the rest of the internet, inspiring other companies to bridge humanity with execution in the workplace. In high school, Ryan got his start in commerce bagging groceries at Publix for six years and building e-commerce sites for businesses of all sizes—from small mom-and-pop shops to large corporations. It was during this time that Ryan experienced first-hand the shortcomings in checkout and online commerce, inspiring him to design a better alternative. He went on to attend Stanford’s Computer Science program and co-found the Stanford Bitcoin Group, dedicating research to the future of money and financial systems. In 2014, he left Stanford early to create Bolt and pursue his vision for democratizing commerce by perfecting checkout. Outside of Bolt, Ryan is also the founder of Eco, a digital global cryptocurrency platform that can be used as a payment tool for daily-use transactions. In his free time, Ryan enjoys dancing, and practicing yoga and mindfulness. He chairs The Movement, a charity that provides free dance classes for underserved communities in Miami that may not otherwise engage with dance and the arts because of financial constraints.
