Shingai Thornton is Crypto, political economy, systems. Advisor at 8 Circuit Studios. I grew up in Silicon Valley and attended the University of Southern California where I received a B.A. in the Social Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology. I fell down the Bitcoin rabbit hole in 2011 during my Senior year, fascinated by the social aspects of a decentralized digital currency. I believe that open blockchains (ie: Bitcoin/Ethereum) can help increase global economic freedom and make our social institutions more transparent, efficient, and resilient. I'm an advisor at 8 Circuit Studios, an independent gaming studio working on a space hero shooter and some exciting experiments with Ethereum-based virtual assets. Some of my main crypto related interests right now are prediction markets, decentralized autonomous organizations, and decentralized finance.
