Badger

Badger is an on-chain organization permissions primitive designed to support every use case. Give your organization their keys to Web3. Deploy and manage flexible group policies for your team’s decentralized tool stack. Agnostic key provider to past, present, and future Web3 locks. Badger is a top-down credential management solution for on-chain organizations. Many of the tools available for on-chain organizations offer layered permission through token-gating. For example, a community manager or system administrator can define roles using Guild.xyz based on token ownership. Other examples include token-gating access to workflows on decentralized project management tracking tools such as Wonderverse. While the existing tools handle the verification against tokens, they do not cover the distribution or management of the people receiving the token. We have customizable locks, but we don't have custom keys. Web3 organizations lack simple key-lock token issuance and configuration systems and cannot access the full suite of features available in the broader DAO tooling ecosystem. Badger allows you to issue Badges representing tiered access gates within your organization. By representing these permission levels with NFTs, the organization can immediately integrate with the entire suite of on-chain organization tooling available in the broader ecosystem. Through an un-opinionated protocol that enables organizations to define, issue, and revoke Badges, it is dead simple to manage your team on-chain using the tool stack that your Organization most prefers. This enables a broader range of primitive-level features to be offered without disrupting existing workflows. Badger gives flexible control over how organizational policies are deployed and managed.
