His career spans decades, from a psychology PhD at Cornell through artificial intelligence, optical storage, and information retrieval startups in Boulder and San Francisco, optimization of the JVM interpreter in the Oracle kernel, and service on the C++ standards committee, to his current incarnation as the Gandalf of Ethereum. He likes fast cars and loud guitars.

Conor Svensson is Web3 Labs founder, web3j author.

Conor is the founder and CEO of Web3 Labs who provide the foundations for organisations to build on, and work with blockchain technology.

He is the author of the open source library web3j (https://web3j.io), which is the go-to tool for enterprises wishing to integrate with Ethereum blockchains (including JP Morgan’s Quorum) on the Java platform.

Prior to blk.io he co-founded a couple of startups that failed, worked at Othera as their CTO on their blockchain lending platform and exchange.

Before all of this he led and managed development teams at UBS, ANZ and Deutsche Bank, delivering risk, regulatory reporting, and algorithmic trading platforms.

He moved to Sydney for a number of years to live by the beach and make the most of ocean-based activities, then came back to London where he replaced surfing with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

what does computing look like if we aren't typing text files to feed into a compiler? what does computing look like when there is no one singular computer, but instead everything around us is imbued with the ability to compute?

Daniel Luca is Smart Contract Security Auditor at ConsenSys Audits, Developer and security researcher at ConsenSys. Previously at Alethio.

He is a self-taught developer with experience in multiple programming languages. Having a hacker mindset he always tests the limits of software or hardware he interacts with. He likes to experiment with new technologies, always trying to develop his available toolchain. When he isn't glued to a computer screen, he likes to snowboard, read and meditate. He currently does security audits and builds tools for ConsenSys Diligence and the Ethereum ecosystem.

Kiran Matthews is Founder and CEO at Unvest. He has worked in the software industry for 10 years. Kiran led the Product team at Termius, a Y Combinator & Initialized Capital (the first investors in Coinbase) backed SSH startup. Termius received an unpaid endorsement from Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple).

Kiran has held Product Management, Design & Strategic positions at several publicly listed fintechs and has contracted to clients including Apple and MasterCard.

Adam Dell was most recently a partner at Goldman Sachs where he served as Head of Product at Marcus by Goldman Sachs. There he built foundational products like Marcus Invest, Marcus Checking and the market leading mobile application Marcus Insights. Prior to Goldman, Adam founded four companies, including Clarity Money, acquired by Goldman Sachs (GS); MessageOne, acquired by Dell (DELL), Buzzsaw, acquired by Autodeck (ADSK) and Civitas Learning, acquired by Fransisco Partners. Adam served as an adjunct professor at both the Business School at Columbia University and the University of Texas School of Law. He holds a B.A. in Political Economy from Tulane University and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He has been an investor in cryptocurrencies since 2013. He likes big ideas, long walks on the beach and spending time with his family.

I am passionate hobbyist programmer and electronics engineer. My interests include overall FinTech, foreign exchange and algorithmic trading systems. Beside programming and software development my skills include designing electronic devices and PCB circuits using Altium Designer software.

Thor Chan is AAX’s CEO. He has stepped down as the CEO of AAX, but will continue to support the exchange as a member of the Board of Directors.

Thor Chan was among the first to join AAX and is the mastermind behind the company’s product development strategy. His expertise reaches across all operations and is a driving force behind the team’s success. His experience includes building global order management systems, global settlement systems, and low-latency trading platforms for professional traders.

He was previously licensed in Hong Kong to manage equities and derivatives brokerage and trading operations. He’s held various roles, including Deputy COO at FDT Group, and product management roles at App Annie, Microsoft, Publicis, and HSBC.
