It is a startup that is building a new, innovative, computationally lightweight block mining and consensus algorithm known as Proof of Claim. Proof of Claim allows for fast, decentralized, fair validation of transactions and block mining. Due to the lightweight nature of the algorithm, launching and running a node will simply be accessible to anyone with a computer. Proof of Claim is a consensus algorithm that aims to solve many of the issues currently present with both Proof of Work and Proof of Stake.

We are honored to have won and performed projects for government agencies including DARPA and NASA. These projects, centered on high-performance commodity many-core computing and on deep learning, have applications ranging from large-scale algorithms to cybersecurity to video understanding.

For example, our project for NASA related to the challenge of analyzing a video feed to determine whether someone is properly performing a given procedure. All the technology developed will be made available through the Coronai network.

Based in Silicon Valley, but drawn from around the globe, the abilities of our world-class team match the scale of our goals. Founder/CEO Dr. Guha Jayachandran earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford University, where he served as lead developer for the Folding@Home distributed computing project, which during his tenure grew into the most powerful computing network in the world. He later founded Cruxlux, acquired by Kosmix, itself acquired by Walmart to form WalmartLabs. Other team members are equally or more accomplished.

Onai® is also fortunate to have an all-star cast of advisers, including Prof. Pieter Abbeel, one the world's leading figures in deep reinforcement learning, and Prof. John Owens, a leading figure in GPU computing. Other advisors bring strengths in algorithms, blockchain, and more.

Soramitsu is a blockchain technology company based in Japan. We are focusing on developing a digital identity platform for blockchains.  Proposor of Iroha (http://iroha.tech), a simple distributed ledger.

Hyperledger Iroha is a next-generation permissioned blockchain platform, aimed at helping businesses and financial institutions manage digital assets. Soramitsu was the original developer of Hyperledger Iroha and contributed it to the Linux Foundation's Hyperledger Project. Hyperledger Iroha is written in C++, making it ideal for use cases where high performance and reliability are needed, or for embedded systems. 

Soramitsu uses Hyperledger Iroha to create services for users, including mobile applications for managing digital assets, identity, and contracts. Through our use of Hyperledger Iroha, we hope to contribute to a safer and more efficient society.
